Tutto comincia per un'intervista a un cineasta passato da primi contributi intellettuali e controcorrente a film di cassetta di sicuro introito economico. L'artista è impersonato con una misura d'antica sapienza e uno stile inconfondibile di sobria autenticità da Mariano Rigillo, interprete versatile e intelligente che di rado frequenta il genere comico e invece se ne dimostra sagace icona con il suo talento inimitabile nel rifuggire impulsi sfrenati da mattatore, convincendo con la sostanza meditata e calibrata di una vera immedesimazione nel personaggio. Ed è qui, infatti, il protagonista contraddittorio che funziona da perno per azioni e agnizioni di cui non va svelato troppo perché l'originalità del testo sta proprio nel proseguire su traiettorie inaspettate e imprevedibili che virano l'indubbia brillantezza della rappresentazione verso l'opportunità di più serie riflessioni. Giancarlo Ratti si muove con consapevolezza e disinvoltura nei panni del critico cinematografico che difende la specificità culturale del suo ruolo almeno quanto Stefano Sarcinelli sa dipingere la figura più modaiola e disinibita del giornalista tutto slogan e social. Ogni intervento di Anna Teresa Rossini suggella le dinamiche sottese di un legame ambiguo col regista: l'eleganza sinuosa e seducente dell'attrice si sposa con le sotterranee vibrazioni di un personaggio che parla poco, ma conta molto nella vita del protagonista quanto nell'economia dell'allestimento. Claudia Campagnola è l'incisiva Chiara, figlia del cineasta, che ha architettato l'incontro con i due esponenti della stampa per uno scopo ultimo molto privato che costituirà il colpo di scena. A Irene De Matteis spetta il decisivo compito della figlia del giornalista meno colto con spaccati e siparietti familiari di potente icasticità. Ecco finalmente realizzata la quintessenza del teatro con un copione vincente, ben congeniato, spumeggiante e profondo al tempo stesso che consente ad attori di indubbio pregio di mettere in luce le loro poliedriche sfumature emotive, caratteriali e recitative. Il pubblico è intimamente coinvolto, ride di gusto e senza doversi vergognare, a dimostrazione che non servono volgarità e cadute di tono per trascorrere una memorabile e graditissima serata in platea. Onore al Teatro Golden per aver offerto il suo spazio anticonvenzionale a questa speciale messa in scena che però riuscirebbe a funzionare benissimo anche in un teatro con la quarta parete per la sua innata capacità di ammaliare e stimolare lo spettatore pure se non immesso direttamente nella realtà presentata come è avvenuto in questo caso. Un esempio di ottima confezione scenica, priva di artifico e intrisa di urgenza, che afferma l'esistenza di una vivace e consapevole autorialità, supportata e realizzata a meraviglia da una compagnia ben assortita. <br />

E’ una retrospettiva in grande stile la mostra Mario Sironi
1885-1961, inaugurata il 4 ottobre al Complesso del Vittoriano, dove rimarrà
fino all’8 febbraio, e curata da Elena Pontiggia.<br />

Novanta dipinti, bozzetti, riviste e un importante carteggio
col mondo della cultura del Novecento compongono un’esposizione che parte dalle
creazioni giovanili fino ad arrivare alle opere degli ultimi giorni per far
conoscere meglio un artista di statura europea, rimasto probabilmente
penalizzato dalla sua vicinanza al fascismo. </div>

“Per me la sua pittura è una lezione di tragedia… Non c’è
pittore che valga i suoi quadri” scriveva Gianni Rodari, suo amico personale,
nonché suo vero salvatore in quanto impedì che Sironi venisse giustiziato in
una rappresaglia partigiana. </div>

“L’Arte non ha bisogno di riuscire simpatica, ma esige
grandezza, altezza di principi” era il principio ispiratore di Mario Sironi che
aderì al fascismo nella speranza di esaltare la funzione educatrice della
creatività, votandosi a una fruizione popolare dell’opera d’arte attraverso la
pittura murale e il mosaico, democraticamente rivolti alla società nel suo
insieme. Lontano però dai compiacimenti opportunistici e dalla visioni
trionfalistiche della propaganda, il punto di vista sulla realtà di questo

Le mille facce di una personalità inquieta, in bilico tra

facile compito di cimentarsi con uno stile vagamente d’altri tempi per
affrontare tematiche eterne come l’amore. Un appartamento prestato in segreto
per appuntamenti clandestini, un matrimonio perennemente in crisi per le
scappatelle del consorte e un legame che non s’ha da fare per timore di perdere
la propria libertà fra coniugi reali o inventati mescola le carte di una
partita a quattro senza vincitori né vinti. Solidarietà maschili e femminili si
creano e si distruggono in un profluvio incandescente di battute spietate anche
se mai volgari. </div>

giovane amante, una spumeggiante e carinissima Ketty Roselli, che costruisce un
castello di menzogne per evitare l’ufficialità delle nozze. </div>

Il vero protagonista di tante rocambolesche avventure che si
succedono sul palco è certamente l’amore, sviscerato col sorriso in tutti i
suoi aspetti più bollenti e deflagranti. Ognuno si finge quello che non è,
ribalta la sua immagine nelle aspettative altrui, indossa maschere in cui non
si identifica. Il sentimento più nobile dell’uomo sposa la tecnica scenica in
un continuo dialogo di specchi deformanti che non restituiscono mai una sola
verità, ma le sue infinite e relative parcellizzazioni. Si ride tanto e poi si
rimane con un ghigno sul volto perché il finale non è conciliante: la doppia
coppia scoppia in moltiplicate solitudini e anche gli spettatori si riconoscono
inevitabili tentazioni da single. </div>

Il delicato e nostalgico clima anglosassone, ben restituito
dalla drammaturgia e dalla recitazione, non basta ad allontanare le conseguenze
di questa ludica quanto profonda riflessione e lascia scoprire il disagio
comunicativo degli esseri umani di qualunque latitudine spaziale e di ogni
datazione temporale. </div>

Spirito eclettico rinascimentale e genio organizzativo contemporaneo, il neodirettore del Teatro di Roma Antonio Calbi ha anche ideato, curato e promosso la mostra <i>Arnaldo Pomodoro. Spazi scenici e altre architetture</i>, ambientata presso il CAOS (Centro Arti Opificio Siri) di Terni dall'11 ottobre al 18 gennaio.<br />

Merita una visita speciale questa esposizione grandiosa e ricchissima che cattura lo spettatore nell'universo del meraviglioso di una concezione scenica barocca e avveniristica al tempo stesso.<br />

L'artista di fama internazionale è qui svelato in un itinerario poco conosciuto del suo lavoro, documentando oltre 50 anni di progettazione di spazi scenici e della dimensione monumentale e urbana fra sculture, scenografie, modellini, costumi e studi architettonici. <br />

E' dal 1972, infatti, che ha avuto inizio la sua assidua collaborazione con il teatro, la lirica e la danza con oltre 50 progetti della scena che non costituiscono di certo incursioni estemporanee. Nel solco della visione registica di Craig e di Appia, Pomodoro non considera lo spazio scenico figlio della finzione in un'ostentata volontà di rappresentazione del reale, bensì un ambito in cui sperimentare soluzioni materiche e volumetriche con elementi simbolici, metafisici, tridimensionali e praticabili a cui si aggiunge il tempo, grazie al movimento. Le scenografie diventano così vere e proprie regie che contribuiscono alla temperatura e alla riuscita dello spettacolo, vincolando gli attori in posizioni non sempre comode, ma di sicuro effetto visivo ed emotivo sul pubblico.<br />

Noto per obelischi, sfere e steli, Pomodoro concepisce una scultura in grado di rivelare la struttura molecolare delle forme e le sue opere non si possono limitare all'arredo urbano in quanto sono elaborate in stretta e sinergica relazione con il contesto ambientale e non nell'ottica del laboratorio in cui nascono. <br />
L'artista è legato alla città di Terni, che ora gli rende questo fantastico tributo, in virtù dell'opera<i> Lancia di luce</i>, concepita nel 1995 per Piazza del Popolo, per indicare in un unico simbolo l'idea dell'evoluzione tecnologica e la pregnanza storica delle acciaierie, nonché per il <i>Carapace</i>, la cantina commissionata dalla famiglia Lunelli per la Tenuta Castelbuono di Bevagna.<br />

Si ammira in quest'ultimo caso l'atterraggio sulla natura umbra di una struttura, un po' corazza di tartaruga un po' ufo, rivestita di rame, riprendendo il colore delle viti d'autunno con costoloni e vetrate disposte a un dialogo evidente fra interno ed esterno. Dai filari si approda verso il luogo in cui il vino riposa. Una scala a chiocciola perfora lo spazio e introduce nella cantina come in una specie di utero in una dimensione simile a quella realizzata per <i>Oreste</i> di Alfieri con Gabriele Lavia al Teatro Argentina di Roma.<br />

"Arnaldo è sensibile e attento all'attualità più di ogni altro" ha commentato Antonio Calbi. "Si addolora per tutto quello che accade nel mondo, forse perché dall'alto dei suoi 88 anni, ha conosciuto un momento culturale florido e soffre le criticità che la nostra nazione esprime. Da giovane ha studiato da geometra e ha lavorato nel Genio Civile, nelle Marche del dopoguerra, per la ricostruzione degli edifici pubblici distrutti. Sin dalle sue prime esercitazioni, ha quindi dato segno di quella texture e di quel linguaggio simbolico che attinge alla Mesopotamia e all'antichità.<br />

Da piccolo ha inoltre assistito lo zio, siparista del Teatro Galli di Rimini, mai ricostruito. Ha vissuto così l'atmosfera di un teatro d'Opera, con tanto di scenografie e costumi. Franco Quadri gli fece incontrare Luca Ronconi, il più visionario dei nostri registi, malato della stessa grandeur di Pomodoro. Ne nacque l'evento mai rappresentato di Caterina di Heilbronn di Kleist che nel 1972 doveva restituire questa tragedia della follia sulle acque del lagodi Zurigo con gli spettatori che seguivano gli attori navigando su zattere. La rottura di una fune d'acciaio indusse la commissione di vigilanza a proibire il debutto e lo spettacolo venne così ridimensionato per una versione al chiuso. Da allora il teatro è diventato una costante nella sua vita artistica con risultati sorprendenti. Dorfles ha coniato per Pomodoro l'espressione "architettonizzazione" dello spazio a suggellare il suo fitto e continuo dialogo con gli elementi naturali e con gli ambienti".<br />

E' una perla della drammaturgia contemporanea <i>Regina Madre</i> di Manlio Santanelli, non a caso rappresentato in tutto il mondo da anni e al suo debutto recensito perfino da Ionesco. A offrirne un'edizione di tutto rispetto e rara intensità, perfettamente sospesa fra brillantezza comica e profondità drammatica è l'inedita coppia scenica formata da Milena Vukotic e Antonello Avallone, che firma anche la regia, fino al 19 ottobre al Teatro dell'Angelo.<br />

Una madre, un figlio, un appartamento. Un incontro scontro di amore e odio che sintetizza ogni ossimoro. Passato, presente e futuro si richiamano, si contraddicono, si ribaltano in un gioco continuo tra finzione e realtà che allude al teatro e ne coglie la quintessenza più emozionante. L'anziana donna è lucidamente spietata nei suoi commenti sul figlio cinquantene che tutto sommato considera indegno dell'esaltato modello paterno, idealizzato e rimpianto. Il figlio ricambia crudeltà per difendersi e sopravvivere, giustificando anche a se stesso una necessità di un esistere che tuttavia poco lo convince. Milena Vukotic è superlativa nella sua apparente svagatezza, nella leggiadria del portamento che stride con la potenza verbale, nello slancio surreale che trasmette atroci verità. Antonello Avallone è incisivo e convincente nel ruolo, dosando meravigliosamente stupore, sconforto, complicità, rancore, sarcasmo e dolore, in un corpo a corpo dialettico che parte da una conversazione di trascinante ironia per mutarsi lentamente in un'autentica e mai sbandierata tragedia. Beato lo spettatore che può non riconoscersi in questi personaggi, ritratti senza veli di microcosmi emotivi domestici squarciati nella loro crudezza. Il legame edipico supera qui la visione classica e lo stereotipo moderno per diventare l'espressione di una società malata, di un ribaltamento epocale in cui la battaglia si fa così dura e contronatura da autorizzare i genitori al sacrificio dei propri figli. Questo novello patetico e anabilissmo Edipo soccomberà, mentre la madre, sia pure malata, incombe e resiste, attaccata alla vita quanto una regina al suo regno, impossibilitata ad abdicare in favore della prole. Uno spettacolo appassionante, completo, riuscito, godibile attimo dopo attimo nella sua forza catartica affidata a un testo di pregevole ed esemplare sapienza nonché a una coppia di interpeti che merita ulteriori occasioni. Ancora oggi, quando i loro spiriti tornano a rivivere i momenti cruciali di quella notte fatale, insieme a Margrethe, la moglie di Bohr, molti degli interrogativi di allora sembrano restare irrisolti o “indeterminati”, come l’omonimo principio fisico che lo stesso Heisenberg enunciò per primo. La trovata geniale di scandire il tempo scenico con la reale costruzione di una barriera di mattoni e calcina, designata a materializzare l'arroganza di un cambio di destinazione d'uso che umilia la storia teatrale, orienta e canalizza la recitazione verso una spiazzante verità. Il sogno di poter acquistare un camion per l'autospurgo con i soldi guadagnati in quell'impresa segreta e scellerata si mescola alle aspettative deluse di due figure anonime che tentano invano di alimentare qualche speranza per il loro futuro.<br />A scompigliare le carte interviene però l'epifania della signorina Giulia di strindberghiana memoria, un'anima pura partorita dalle viscere del teatro che propone a Germano, interpretato da un Nicola Pistoia perfettamente compenetrato nella natura di un uomo indeciso e frustrato, di fuggire con lei sul lago di Como, rinnovando la sua storia dopo un secolo. L'incredulità di Fiore, a cui Paolo Triestino regala accenti vigorosi di concretezza e ansia di riscatto sociale, finirà per infrangere ogni pietosa e catartica illusione, intaccando la solidarietà dell'amicizia e la validità di un progetto comune. Gian Marco Tognazzi raggiunge una credibile e meditata misura nel ruolo dell’anonimo rappresentante di tessuti Traps che, in seguito a un banale guasto della sua automobile, si trova accolto in casa di un magistrato che ama giocare alla ricostruzione di storici processi insieme a un pubblico ministero e a un avvocato in pensione. Il clima faceto lascia però trapelare intenzioni molto serie e l’ospite viene ben presto ridotto a imputato con un’indagine improvvisata sulla sua vita e un’accusa di omicidio tutta presunta quanto persuasiva. La dinamica processuale che nel teatro ha una sede privilegiata affascina e coinvolge, tiene alta la tensione e convince nella sua logica giuridica più o meno in contraddizione con la realtà. Si distingue per la bizzarra seduzione straniata la Simon di Lidya Giordano, accompagnata dalla rude immagine del cuoco-boia restituita da Franz Cantalupo.
